Weekly Wrap-Up: Winter Weather (Ew)

What's New:
Well the winter weather hit hard. It went from fifty degrees to twenty five with horrible ice. But Christmas is supposed to be forty-six degrees and sunny, that's Michigan weather for ya! This week I need to finish up my Christmas shopping and wrapping and do lots of reading (and Gilmore Girls watching.) I don't know if I mentioned it here, but I am OBSESSED with Gilmore Girls! I'm only on season three- so no spoilers please!

What I Read:
I was pretty busy at the beginning of the week with finals and packing to come home for winter break, but I did manage to start and stick with a book, which I haven't been able to do lately. I'm currently reading and really enjoying A Darker Shade of Magic by Victoria Schwab. This is my first Schwab novel, but I'm enjoying her writing and this world full of magic.

What I Bought:
I got my Bookoutlet Black Friday order when I came home for break, so this is going to be a long one. I got all of these books, all but two are hardcover, for twenty-seven dollars and that included shipping!

  1. Yeah I'd like to have the warmer weather back, although the sun is out and the little bit of snow we got is mostly gone. Enjoy your break and merry Christmas!

Nice haul, I like the cover of Stray a lot.

    1. Yes, the weather has warmed up again, and instead of snow we are getting rain!
Thanks for stopping by Greg, Merry Christmas!

  2. I LOVE Girlmore Girls! I've watched the full series at four times. There is a lot that happens. The weather here in TX can't make up it's mind. Mostly it's rained every week since September, so...yuck. You dress one way for the day and are either freezing or burning up a few hours later...Happy reading!

    1. I'm LOVING Gilmore Girls right now, it's cutting into my reading time I love it so much! That's how the weather is in Michigan, it's been about twenty degrees warmer than normal all winter!
      Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Sometimes, the worst thing about winter is the temperature changes! If it got cold, I wish it would just stay like that for a while. We have very mild temperatures, and no snow yet this year! It's weird, even the ski-slopes in the nearby Alps are almost free of snow.
Your new books look great, Mallory, I want the Schwab one, for sure.
Have a wonderful holiday and happy reading.

    1. We haven't had our normal amount of snow this year either! Not that I mind because I hate trying to get around in it. I'm really enjoying A Darker Shade right now! Hoping to finish it soon!

  7. Wonderful BookOutlet haul. Gilmore Girls is one of my favorite shows ever! I would love to do a re-watch of all 7 seasons on Netflix but my husband would probably hate me. He couldn't stand the way Lorelei talked all the time (which I loved). Hope you enjoy the rest of it.

  9. It has been so mild here in Ontario. We don't have any snow at all. It is so strange for this time of year.

From one Gilmore Girl fan to another, I hope you are loving the series. It is still one of my favourites, even though I've seen all the episodes multiple times.
