Weekly Wrap-Up: Thank Goodness That Week is Over

What's New:
Well, this was  a rough week, and I'm glad it's over and I have a chance to relax and spend some time with my family this weekend. The next two weeks are looking like they're going to be just as stressful so I'm hoping to just push through. School has got me feeling like I'm ready to pull my hair out. Despite all of this, I have done quite a bit of reading and got the chance to finish some books I've been working on for a while now.

What I Read:
I read One in one sitting! It was so addictive and the free verse style made it so quick to read, I couldn't put it down. I also finished up Aman: The Story of a Somalian Girl for my women's history class, which was a really great read. I think I will talk about it on the blog soon. I also finished my audiobook read of Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen, which I of course loved and will be reviewing soon.

What I Bought:
The stressful week lead to some book shopping, so I made and amazon purchase and a Book Outlet purchase. The Book Outlet purchase won't be here until later this week, and I have no idea what I even ordered anymore, so I've got the amazon purchases for you.

The Uninvited by Cat Winters
I love Winters paranormal historical fiction, and since it's October, I thought I would pick up her newest novel. This is her first adult novel I do believe, so I'm curious to see how it compares to her YA.

Lair of Dream by Libba Bray
This is the sequel to The Diviners which I enjoyed and left me eager to carry on the series. This book was delayed a couple of times so it has been forever since I read book one and I will need a reread before diving into this one.

The Collected Poems of Sylvia Plath
This was a treat to myself as I have been wanting this forever, if you have been here before, you may know Plath is one of my all-time favorite authors, so I'm very eager to read all her works.
