Top Ten Tuesday: Cover Trends

This week's Top Ten Tuesday is top ten cover trends I like or dislike, so I thought I would show some covers that I like and covers that I don't like.

    I really like the space and illustrated covers - I really like when covers have lots of details and little elements that you might not notice the first time.
    As for thoughts, I loved Cress, really liked Eleanor & Park, enjoyed Darkest Minds, and was annoyed by Across the Universe :)

      I'm eager to start the Darkest Minds trilogy, but I may wait until the third book's release so I can marathon it. I also loved Elanor and Park, I need to pick up Fangirl soon!

    I never thought to add book covers with words not images. I really enjoy book covers like that! I enjoy bold typography. It looks so appealing.

      I agree, plus the lack of an image on the cover won't taint the character's image for you.

      Your theory is very possible. Sometimes I wish people still dressed like that, but then again I'm very thankful that we don't have to dress like that!

    I luuurve beautiful dresses, although sometimes they can merge in my brain and I can't tell books apart. But OH. Any sorts of galaxy/stars covers? Insta-win in my opinion. I just love them so so much! My TTT!

    Mis series Cover Changes is a MASSIVE pet peeve of mine, it really bugs me! I hate my series not matching! :(
    But I also agree with you that just text covers are aweomse. Sometimes the more simple the better. I really love The Lover's Dictionary cover, perfect!

      I like that the all words cover fits so well with the concept of The Lover's Dictionary! And I totally agree with you about mid-series cover changes!
