I like a lot of authors, so picking my top ten all-time favorite authors is really difficult. So, here I'm listing five young adult authors that I have enjoyed multiple books from and that I trust to deliver something I love every time, and five classical authors that I have read multiple works from and have loved them.

Great list! I love how you divided it into two haha. I also had Jenny Han and Sarah J Maas. I also love Jane Austen :D Pride & Prejudice is one of my favorite classics! Here's my TTT
ReplyDeleteYay for all the Austen love! Jenny Han makes me love contemporary, which doesn't happen too often.

Same here! I think that's why I love Jenny Han so much. I'm not a big fan of contemporary but her books were simply lovely!
DeleteI enjoyed reading your list! If I hadn't gone with series books, I definitely would have had Jane Austen on my list. :-)
ReplyDeleteAusten is so timeless.

Sarah J. Maas also made my list because her books are spectacular. And the books aren't perfect, not at all, but she has successfully created a world with stories and characters that I deeply care about. And I really need to read Jane Austen!

So true, her characters are so real and the plot is so action packed. I'm really looking forward to Queen of Shadows!

Great list, Mallory! I've seen a lot of Jane Austen and Sarah J. Maas on lists today. :) I still need to read something of Sylvia Plath's; one of my friends is a HUGE fan of hers, so I need to get to her soon!
ReplyDeleteYes, read Plath NOW! She is brilliant.

Love seeing Marcus Sedgwick on here! He's definitely one of my favorites also. My favorite book of his so far (besides Midwinterblood) is White Crow. You should definitely check it out!
ReplyDeleteBekka @ Pretty Deadly Reviews
Great to hear you loved White Crow, I already own it so it will be the next Sedgwick I pick up for sure!

Jane Austen - yay! You should read Sense and Sensibility - my favorite. Just saying. LOL
ReplyDeletehaha Kay, that will be my next Austen read for sure, I have heard nothing by great things about it! Every time I mention Austen, someone recommends Sense and Sensibility to me.

Ohhhh! You divided it into classics and YA, smart! I need to read more of Sarah J Maas in order to have her in my top ten. About the classics I can't believe I didn't include Jane Austen in mine seeing as I LOVE P&P, ugh! And I really want to read Silvia Plath, which one would you recommend me to start?
ReplyDeleteHere's my top incase you wanna see it! http://alejandrasmusings.blogspot.com/2015/04/top-ten-all-time-favorite-authors.html
I would start with The Bell Jar before tackling her poetry. But if you like The Bell Jar then you will love her poetry! Hope you love Plath as much as I do.
